DEAD MAN'S CAVE
Dead Man's Cave was originally written for a teenage audience, but as with all great young people's books, it's a winner with all ages. Peaksoft have lovingly recreated this epic adventure, long unavailable even on the second-hand market - surviving copies of the original are well-guarded. Produced with Conon Fraser's enthusiastic support, the new edition has the full original text and illustrations, for which permission was granted by the family of the late Will Nickless (of Eagle fame). There is a new foreword by Conon Fraser, as well as the tale of the 20-year process that led to the 21st Century re-issue of Dead Man's Cave. £7.99 |

LEGENDS
ON TOUR: The pop package tours of the 1960s.
IMAGINE three or four of the biggest acts in world music appearing on the same stage at a humble little venue a five minute stroll from where you live. Back in the 1960s, pop crazed teenagers didn't have to imagine. They were blessed that long before Ipods and downloads (and even the pop video) were invented pop stars brought their music to the masses by turning up in their towns to play at the local cinema or concert hall. Legends On Tour recreates those magical pop package tours when the stars often travelled together on a bus for a month or more, trekking the towns and cities of the UK. There are rare and unpublished pictures of icons such as Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, The Small Faces, Roy Orbison and many more and the story is brought to life by interviews with 21 pop stars from those days. Kenney Jones of The Small Faces describes these gigs as mini Live Aids, the forerunner of the super stadium shows that were to follow. The book features seven tours: 1 Beatles 1963, 2 Del Shannon, Wayne Fontana, Shangri-Las, Herman's Hermits 1965, 3 Kinks, Yardbirds 1965. 4 Hollies, Small Faces, Paul Jones, Peter Jay 1966. 5 Gene Pitney, Troggs 1967. 6 Roy Orbison, Small Faces 1967. 7 Walker Brothers, Kat Stevens, Jimi Hendrix, Englebert Humperdinck 1967. More than 140 large format (250mm*225mm) nice quality semi-gloss pages with some amazing pictures. Author: Martin Creasy. £9.88 (saving £6 on RRP)

LOVE DON'T LET ME DOWN single
The mystery track from the 1960s, recreated by composer Geoff Howlett and singer/producer Johnny Storme. A backing track by The Gamblers for this song was discovered among the effects of the late Tony Damond. At my invitation, Geoff Howlett created a melody line and lyrics, which have been arranged and recorded by Johnny Storme. This recording has been created to show our affection and good wishes for Pauline Swindells, a great Fury Fan and a friend to everyone associated with billyfury.com, who was taken ill in late 2008, and to all of our friends affected by illness. At Pauline's request, all proceeds from sale of the track will be donated to our official charity, Alder Hey Children's Hospital. It is available as a £1.99 MP3 download (click the "Buy now" button)
